What is Invisalign ®?
Invisalign® is the clear alternative to braces.
Metal braces were once the only treatment used to straighten teeth. Today, Invisalign® is a groundbreaking orthodontic technology that uses invisible aligners to correct misaligned teeth. Invisalign® gives you the smile you want without metal braces, and without anyone knowing you are wearing an orthodontic aligner!
Benefits of Invisalign® over braces:
-
Invisalign® is invisible–no one will know you are undergoing orthodontic treatment to achieve that gorgeous smile you’ve always wanted.
-
Invisalign® is removable–you can take out your aligners to eat and drink whenever you want, or to brush and floss your teeth and maintain excellent oral hygiene.
-
Invisalign® is more comfortable–there is less irritation to your lips and cheeks compared to metal braces and wires.
-
Invisalign® is faster–most Invisalign® appointments don’t take as long as those for traditional braces.
-
Invisalign® fits in with your social schedule–it can be removed for special occasions.
More than 1,000,000 patients worldwide have been treated withInvisalign® and this number is increasing everyday.

How Invisalign® Works
Invisalign® is a custom-fitted, clear plastic-like tray designed to straighten your teeth and achieve that gorgeous smile you’ve always wanted. A series of custom aligner trays are manufactured to facilitate tooth movement in small increments. Unlike traditional braces, these trays can be removed to eat and brush and floss your teeth. In order for treatment to be carried out in a timely manner, 23 hours of tray wear per day is required. This allows the treatment to progress and tooth movement to occur.
Depending on the type of tooth movement needed to create your gorgeous smile, attachments may need to be placed on your teeth. Attachments are raised, tooth-coloured square, rectangular or triangular ridges that allow the tray to grab onto the tooth to achieve the desired tooth movement.
Invisalign is an alternative treatment option to braces, but it may not be suitable for everyone. During your initial assessment, we can determine whether this type of treatment is right for you.

Cost of Invisalign®
How much does Invisalign® Cost?
The cost of orthodontic treatment with Invisalign® depends on many factors, the most important being the issues you would like to have corrected. The amount of crowding, the degree of jaw discrepancy, and the type of bite you have all affect the length and complexity of treatment with Invisalign®, and therefore the cost of treatment.
If your dental plan covers orthodontic treatment, you may also qualify for Invisalign®. Talk to your insurance provider to determine how much coverage you have for orthodontic treatment.
